1st Shift, Shipping & Receiving Assistant (Office Hourly position) – This position is responsible for administrative tasks associated with shipping and receiving.
Work Schedule 7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
Process packing lists, labels, bills of lading in CIMPRO and other required documents for outgoing shipments
Issue Correct Action Requests when vendors are not in compliance with sending Certificates of Analysis.
Create/update reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Act as a back‑up office personnel
Export documentation
Stock transferring—handle all plant material movement
Handle the terms and conditions of export licensing
Process Receiving Materials
Process Non‑Receiving Materials
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned or apparent
Skills and Abilities
Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑speed environment, follow standardized work processes, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and stand for an 8‑hour shift
Must be able to read and follow manuals and procedures
Must be able to maintain a clean and safe workspace
Must be dependable and have excellent attendance
Must have a positive attitude
Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed, up to every other weekend
Must be willing and able to work in temperature extremes—hot and cold
Must be able to pass a forklift test
Attendance is an essential function of the position
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Education and Experience
Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred forklift experience
Preferred previous manufacturing experience with WS
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Contacts: internal – continuously (67‑100%), external – occasionally (6‑33%)
Regularly: communicates via phone, email, in person; required to sit for extended periods while watching security surveillance system and logging information at a computer.
Frequently: talk and hear to coordinate day‑to‑day phone and in person transactions.
Occasionally: operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer; lifts and/or moves up to 25 lbs.; may be exposed to noise levels above the OSHA action level; proper personal safety equipment to be used while performing this job; may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and chemical dust; exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard.
Standard office and manufacturing environment. The noise level is typically low to moderate, due to office equipment, manufacturing machines and equipment.
Manual Dexterity: repeatedly required to walk, bend, reach, twist, turn and stand, climb stairs, sit in one place for extended periods of time. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear, and see.
