Job Purpose: The Parts Manager oversees and directs all aspects of sales activity, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution of truck parts and accessories, ensuring customer service excellence and operational efficiency while achieving company targets for sales volume and profitability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Achieve budgeted goals for sales volume, gross margin, inventory turns, and department profitability. Lead and motivate the counter staff to create sales opportunities and a positive, customer-centric environment. Develop individualized market development strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while staying ahead of industry trends. Engage in all assigned learning modules and demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development. Implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. Monitor and control slow and non-moving stock levels within company guidelines and collaborate with the centralized inventory control team to optimize inventory management. Adapt to evolving organizational needs and undertake additional responsibilities as required. Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree with 6 years of related experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience preferred. Non-degreed candidates with 10 years of progressive experience in heavy-duty truck parts will be considered. Demonstrated ability to manage people, processes, and priorities. Progressive thinker who embraces new ideas and implements change. Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems and electronic part catalogs preferred. Dependable and reliable attendance.
