QESH (EHS) Coordinator - Lebanon
Job Purpose
To effectively coordinate in partnership with the QESH Manager the Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health functions on site and provide a level of service in line with customer requirements and legislation, at a level of cost agreed in the budget. To create and develop a professional culture on site, in line with our values and ensure that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on site.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Reporting to the QESH Manager, the QESH Coordinator is accountable for the implementation and maintenance of QESH programs for NewCold Lebanon.
Develop and maintain programs, policies and procedures that require federal, state, and local compliance and promote continual improvement within the company.
Continuously improve standards to meet or exceed relevant internal and external QESH standards in a manner consistent with sound business practices.
Support a professional culture on site, ensuring a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team.
Promote and uphold a safety culture and awareness across the site.
Facilitate the QESH portion of employee onboarding.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies as required or voluntary, including OSHA, EPA, FDA, FSMA, C-TPAT, BRC, etc.
Document safety and environmental data for required company and regulatory reporting.
Advise and assist site management, production leaders and employees to manage risks regarding Safety and Health.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and/or annual quality management reviews.
Participate in equipment installation and set-up to assist in the design for safety, health, and environmental principles.
Continually look for opportunities for improvement.
This position will also work to continuously improve standards to meet or exceed relevant internal and external QESH standards in a manner consistent with sound business practices.
Requirements: Education, Experience and Physical Demands
2+ years of experience in a light industrial and/or warehouse environment
2+ years of experience in Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health
Preferred candidate's experience should include knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, BRC, VPP, and First Aid
