Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Job Summary The Inventory Assistant Manager is responsible for all objectives related to the inventory department in daily shift operations. This role is challenged to develop new tools and resources that increase productivity and support the growth of our business. This position maintains extensive knowledge of the various procedures and operations protocols while developing and implementing improvements that increase efficiencies and customer satisfaction. The Inventory Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring that all new employees receive proper training in relevant areas and maintaining a high level of proficiency among current employees.
Responsibilities
Manage and support the day‑to‑day operation process and movement of products in the inventory department while overseeing the following subdepartments: Wrap, Go‑Backs, Returns, Expeditor, Product Placement, Bin Maintenance, and Replenishment
Work closely with each subdepartment and Team Leads to maximize accuracy and daily work loads
Ensure processes are being followed and analyze opportunities for improvement including productivity growth, cost reduction, damage mitigation, and increased process efficiency
Respond professionally and promptly to any emails, associate questions and/or situations
Supervise 30+ employees to achieve high performance standards while coaching, training, and developing employees in industry best practices
Ensure items requiring extensive research are resolved within 24 hours
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for assigned departments; identify and resolve operating issues as needed, including administration and oversight of corrective actions and progressive discipline process
Provide clear and frequent communication to all teams regarding department productivity, Company policies and procedures
Interact regularly with employees one‑on‑one to promote culture, a high level of engagement, and ensure all safety regulations / rules are followed. Actively engaging in "MBWA" or Manage by Walking Around and serve as a role model of company culture.
Identify and delegate quarterly initiatives to team members; promote and monitor progress to ensure quarterly goals are met
Ensure warehouse is completely cycled 4 times per year with an accuracy of 75% or above for each section of the warehouse
Maintain adequate staffing levels to ensure operating metrics are met consistently; may include the coordination of shift change bids and related programs
Lead daily and weekly meetings to share information including metrics review, areas of improvement, employee relations issues, and updates on quarterly initiatives and related projects
Track and administer 30/60 day reviews as well as semi‑annual and annual reviews
Manage time clocks and PTO for associates
Document injuries and ensure paperwork is filled out properly
Other duties as assigned
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operations management preferred
Experience working in a distribution environment preferred
Education This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.

Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working in a high‑tech environment
