This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location within the GES Global Engineering Services Division. What You’ll Work On
This position is responsible precise espresso/coffee/smoothie service, operating a register and varied tasks including food preparation, stocking, inventory and cleaning. Responsible for maintaining sanitation and food safety standards at all times. Assist Café team with cashiering, food production, catering and other designated projects. Maintain a high level of quality and integrity of specialty beverages as well as food options. Learn all aspects of Barista position at Coffee Bar obtaining a deep knowledge of all menu items & specials. Strong cash handling experience. Always provide outstanding customer service. Quick to service & positive attitude everyday. Set‑Up & Prep all Coffee Bar stations every day, reset for next day. Ability to make all menu items – following recipe, specification & portioning. Open/Close Coffee Bar and clean equipment as required. Deliver catering orders when needed. Ability to work well with others and professionally communicate issues in a timely manner. Cross‑Train to back‑fill in many other Café Stations as needed. Assist Stocking, Ordering Par Sheets and Purchasing activity. Ability to Lift 30 pounds. Work a flexible schedule as required by Café and catering needs. Assist with other Café duties and stations as required. Required Qualifications
Minimum two years’ experience in a foodservice environment. Strong customer service skills a must. Strong verbal communication skills. Some Barista knowledge required. Ability to adapt to change and handle several tasks at once. Ability to follow directions and understand/follow recipes. Quick learning agility.
