Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to join our Patient Safety & Quality Unit as the Patient Safety & Improvement Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead initiatives that drive clinical effectiveness, enhance patient safety, and support continuous improvement across Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). Your work will directly contribute to safer care, improved outcomes, and a culture of innovation and transparency. Provide leadership across RNSH to ensure clinical effectiveness, patient safety and quality improvement are embedded at a health service level. Support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. Guide and empower staff to implement initiatives that reduce patient harm and improve clinical outcomes. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration with local clinical teams. Embed patient safety and quality at all levels of the organisation and promote a positive open reporting culture. Qualifications and Experience
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in an acute health setting. Demonstrated understanding of Integrated Clinical Governance, including patient safety, quality improvement, and complaint management. Experience participating in Serious Adverse Event Reviews (SAER), including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and London Protocol methodologies. Experience with incident management and quality systems, with a strong background in quality improvement methodologies, project management, and staff education in quality improvement practices within healthcare settings.
