Meadowbrook Golf Club in West Memphis, AR is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to bring the property back to life. We are looking for a qualified candidate to build a new team. Lead a Tif-eagle greens renovation and supervise Rainbird irrigation controller upgrades. The Golf Course Superintendent is also tasked with assessing equipment needs as we look to rebuild the maintenance department for a late summer/early fall reopening.
This role requires strong leadership skills to effectively build and manage a team of maintenance workers and create a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of turf grass management, irrigation systems, and pest control methods to maintain the course at a high standard. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential in addressing maintenance issues promptly and efficiently. Additionally, excellent communication skills are valuable for coordinating maintenance activities with the Pro-shop and golfers alike.
Additional responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred
Proven experience in golf course maintenance
Strong knowledge of turf care techniques and irrigation systems
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Effective communication and organizational abilities
Construction experience preferred
