Overview
Position: Security Officer - Armed Mall Driver Location: Houston, TX Employment type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour What You’ll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter, both inside and outside the premises, to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, disturbances, and other unwanted activities within the location. Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or property damage to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts. Interact professionally with the public, employees, and visitors, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a courteous demeanor. Follow all Allied Universal and client policies and procedures, including those related to carrying and handling firearms in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Minimum Requirements
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a Level III armed certification for positions in Texas only. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
