Responsibilities
Serve as the expert on billing codes and code-edit-related content for product development Analyze and apply coding guidelines to ensure compliance and reimbursement accuracy Review medical records for accurate coding and maintain knowledge of coding methodologies Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or AA degree with at least 10 years of medical coding experience Coding and / or fraud investigation certifications preferred (e.g., CPC, CCS, CFE, CPMA, AHFI) Experience with healthcare data protection policies and regulations, including HIPAA Knowledge of claims adjudication and payment integrity processes Familiarity with medical coding tools and claims data formats
