The Member Service Representative provides efficient assistance to the Billing and Member Service Team and delivers quick, courteous, and professional service to members and customers. This role actively promotes the Cooperative’s services while maintaining a friendly, business‑like attitude in all interactions.
What You’ll Do
Respond to member inquiries via phone, email, and in person in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with billing functions, including payment arrangements, posting payments, and processing adjustments.
Handle Internet Service Requests: scheduling, troubleshooting, and coordinating with vendors.
Support Internet sales and provide Level I technical assistance.
Process account transfers, reconnects, and disconnects in accordance with Cooperative policies.
Maintain accurate Capital Credit records and assist with related inquiries.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and Annual Meeting preparations.
Provide outage communication support when needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of advanced office training or two years of experience in a similar role.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to operate business machines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle difficult situations professionally.
Valid Minnesota driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a cooperative or utility industry.
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Starting wage is $26.92/hr.
