Position
ASSISTANT COMMUNITY MANAGER
Responsibilities Oversee, under the supervision of the Community Manager, the everyday operations and financial functions of the housing community.
Assist with delinquency and rent collection to optimize the property's cash flow and financial position.
Manage all phases of operations in the absence of the Community Manager, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial administration and risk management.
Supervise on-site staff to ensure compliance with company policies, safety and fair housing guidelines, and minimize liability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Financial Management: post payments, reconcile receivables, monitor bad debt, help meet budgeted revenues/expenses/NON, post charges, and conduct end-of-month closing and reporting.
Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
Inspect units, post move-in/move-out charges and security deposit refunds.
Personnel Management: ensure regular on-site attendance; hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff; provide ongoing training and leadership; ensure policy compliance.
Strategic Leasing Management: execute leasing processes, follow-up procedures, and ensure leases are accurately documented; implement marketing strategies per annual plan; address resident concerns and feedback; develop retention programs.
Administrative Management: ensure excellent customer service; monitor maintenance requests and property appearance; supervise business operations; manage vendor bids and resource utilization.
Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2 years in housing industry; or 1–2 years related experience; or equivalent combination.
Ability to perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements Regularly sits/stands for extended periods; communicate with others; perform repetitive motions; able to move between worksites; climb stairs/ladders; lift/move up to 25 lbs; work in various environments; be available for overtime, nights, weekends as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $23 per hour to $24 per hour. Asset Living offers a comprehensive total rewards package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401K with employer match, potential commissions/bonuses, paid sick days, and company holidays.
