Perform various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) on metal components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to specifications.
Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to design specifications.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
Demonstrated knowledge of welding safety protocols and proper use of PPE
Physical dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and ability to lift/maneuver heavy materials
Relevant welding certification (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX) or ability to pass a weld test
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with advanced welding techniques (e.g., orbital, robotic, specific exotic alloys).
Proficiency in fabrication tasks including cutting, fitting, and grinding.
