The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Jenison that are seeking skilled Welders. Key Responsibilities
Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welders, grinders, and torches.
Inspect finished welds for quality, compliance with standards, and structural integrity.
Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning components.
Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Proven experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent preferred.
Bonus Qualifications
Advanced welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX)
Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
Experience with fitting, fabrication, and assembly prior to welding
Familiarity with quality control procedures and visual inspection of welds
