What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Provide oversight and support of operational workflows and functions within the department
Coordinate technical and clerical support services to enhance departmental processes
Review patient documentation to ensure accurate CPT/HCPCS coding and charge capture
Collaborate on performance improvement activities to enhance patient experience
Educate clinical staff on documentation requirements for revenue optimization
What is Required (Qualifications):
Associate’s degree in healthcare, business administration, finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum three (3) years of relevant coding and charge control work experience in a hospital or physician practice environment
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical processes, charge master maintenance, and clinical coding (CPT, ICD-10)
Working knowledge of third-party payer rules and revenue cycle operations
Ability to utilize multiple system applications for data collection and management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Registered Nurse certification preferred
Knowledge of Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) reimbursement structures
Familiarity with clinical documentation improvement processes
