Improve the accuracy of outpatient clinical documentation coding and charging Educate clinical departments and coding staff on documentation and charging processes Assist clinical areas in effectively documenting services provided Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to coding and charging Review health records to determine applicable charges and codes for billing What is Required (Qualifications):
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Certification as a CPC-Certified Professional Coder, COC-Certified Outpatient Coder, RHIA, or RHIT Minimum of 5 years of recent relevant experience in healthcare coding Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding processes, and billing functions Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with electronic medical records systems, preferably EPIC Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Familiarity with Medicare APC and OPPS reimbursement structures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with senior leadership Understanding of government and commercial payer requirements We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal‑opportunity employment.
