Shipping Material Handler – 2nd Shift Company: Eaton

Hourly rate: $21.94 plus $1.20 per hour shift differential.

Core hours: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

What You’ll Do

Responsible for picking orders, staging, loading and/or unloading material from trucks and/or other departments to keep the flow of product smooth and efficient.

Move material safely and dispose of scrap.

Operate forklifts.

Store, space, and deliver materials or products.

Stack pallets and arrange materials.

May be required to palletize and secure material as needed.

Use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (e.g., walking crane or hoist).

Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

May utilize the spotter truck to move flatbed and dry van trailers around the yard and in and out of the dock doors, as needed or required.

Basic (Required) Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Valid driver’s license.

No immigration sponsorship support is provided for this position. Candidates may not be eligible for CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.

No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates currently residing within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong product knowledge.

Forklift experience with both stand-up and sit-down models.

Position Criteria

Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33‑66 %) and up to 75 lbs occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.

Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail.

Work as part of a team responsible for assembling an entire product or component of a product.

Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate.

Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours per shift, as required by the business.

Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitive tasks.
