Shipping Material Handler - 1st Shift Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Shipping Material Handler for the 1st Shift. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The rate for this position is $21.94 per hour. Salary information is a general guideline only; actual compensation will depend on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What You’ll Do

Unload and load raw material from trucks and other departments to maintain smooth product flow.

Move raw material safely and dispose of scrap.

Operate forklifts and other powered material handling equipment.

Store, space, and deliver materials or products.

Stack pallets and arrange materials.

May be required to palletize and secure material as needed.

Receive training on the use of power trucks, walking cranes, or hoists.

Perform 5S and continuous improvement activities.

Use a spotter truck to move flatbed and dry‑van trailers as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

High‑school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Valid, state‑issued driver’s license.

Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong product knowledge.

Forklift experience (both stand‑up and sit‑down).

Position Criteria:

Ability to lift 50 lbs alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail.

Work as part of a team responsible for assembling an entire product or component.

Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate.

Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.

Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitive tasks.
