Overview
Westerwood Senior Living is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to add to our exceptional team and community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and plumbing, with the ability to perform a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks to support the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility. This position is scheduled 8am-4:30pm Monday–Friday and includes an on-call rotation starting week 9 (after 8 weeks of training). Job Duties
Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant, preventative maintenance, routine service, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment, and HVAC systems/plumbing repairs (as qualified). Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred Minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance, proven skills in carpentry and plumbing desired Ability to read and interpret manuals, and work orders Electrical and HVAC knowledge is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed Must enjoy working with the senior population and possess excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service.
