Aerospace Customer Service Representative
As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle all correspondence with assigned customers for PPG's Aerospace business. You will report to the Customer Service Supervisor. This is a hybrid position working three days in our Sylmar office and two days remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Process incoming purchase orders from customers and provide acknowledgement. Obtain any necessary revisions.
Follow‑up with relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery is made in accordance with the confirmed ship dates.
Provide updates to customers on purchase order delivery progress.
Participate in scheduled calls/meetings with customers to review open orders, pending returns, etc.
Allocate parts for shipment. Work with various departments to ensure orders ship in a timely manner.
Assist AR team to resolve customer issues that are blocking payments, including discussing with customers and processing any necessary credits.
Be the primary point of contact for customer inquiries about products, order status, quotations and dispositions, or complaints. Escalate inquiries to the respective department or commercial team to get feedback for customers.
Obtain and maintain Export Documentation.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer complaints, orders and interactions.
Provide support for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements. Must carry an AOG cellphone on a rotating basis (one‑week intervals) to provide 24‑hour support.
Qualifications
Only U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.
4+ years of customer service experience.
Associate's degree or higher preferred or experience in lieu of degree.
Strong customer relationship management experience.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in group situations.
Prior experience handling a high volume of emails and dealing with a wide variety of customers.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000 annually.
