Patient Service Specialist - Medical Front Office

Hours:
Vary Monday‑Friday 7am‑7pm (PRN as needed – float).
Rate:
$21.00 per hour PRN.
Coverage Areas:
Addison, Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Coppell, Plano, Richardson. Candidate will be required to travel to multiple outpatient clinics.
Responsibilities
Coordinate patient appointments with the Center manager to minimize cancellations and support treatment adherence.
Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Verify patient insurance, obtain required authorizations before visit, and explain benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies.
Collect payments toward patient responsibility at each visit.
Scan and maintain medical documents.
Reconcile and post charges daily and perform other reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
Respond to all requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians.
Maintain the office, order supplies, and manage mail.
Show willingness to adjust schedule to center needs.
Attend all mandatory meetings and in‑service education programs.
Travel to non‑home location center or other site for coverage when necessary.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Experience
Customer service experience.
Knowledge of insurance verification.
Healthcare, medical, or dental office administration.
