Distinction is currently pursuing a federal contract with the Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) Gulfport and is seeking qualified candidates to support this effort.
About the role
The Training Master Scheduler is a Key Personnel position responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing all training schedules for Naval Construction training programs conducted at NCTC Gulfport, including both on-site and off-site training. This position serves as the single point of contact for all training scheduling matters and plays a critical role in ensuring effective coordination between government stakeholders, instructors, and training departments. What you’ll do
Serve as the single point of contact for all training scheduling associated with Apprentice, intermediate, and advanced Seabee training programs Draft, submit, and maintain training schedules in coordination with NCTC, NETC, and CSFE Maintain scheduling systems and records, including NITRAS, CETARS, Master Course Reference Files, and Seabee University schedules Conduct and facilitate weekly scheduling coordination meetings with government and training stakeholders Identify scheduling conflicts and propose coordinated resolutions to maximize training throughput Manage class quotas and enrollments using the Enterprise Navy Training Reservation System (eNTRS) Coordinate classroom and laboratory space, training aids, and student rosters Prepare and maintain scheduling metrics, utilization data, and command-level briefings Provide advance notice of approved schedule changes to minimize attendance discrepancies Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a training scheduler Demonstrated experience scheduling training in classroom and field environments Knowledge of Navy Seabee structure and construction-related vocations Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with computers and automated office systems for reporting and data management Experience supporting training schedules and course curricula Commitment Requirement
Because this position is designated as Key Personnel under the Request for Proposal (RFP), applicants must be willing and able to formally commit to the role if selected. If an offer is extended, the selected candidate will be required to execute a written commitment letter confirming availability and intent to perform in this role beginning April 1, 2026. Applicants who are unable to meet these requirements should not apply.
