The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is tackling big challenges in beef production, blending cutting-edge research with practical solutions to help producers thrive. The Klosterman Feedlot Innovation Center is a state-of-the-art, commercial-scale feedlot research center located at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center close to Fremont, Ashland, and Wahoo, NE; and just 30 minutes from Omaha and Lincoln.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for the care of cattle at the Klosterman Feedlot Innovation Center and Beef Systems Unit.
Perform tasks associated with daily feeding and animal health.
Assist with general construction and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Assist graduate students with research trials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Irregular hours and work in inclement weather is required. In the UNL system, this position is categorized as O/S Temporary Hourly.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma plus one year of agricultural experience required; equivalent education/experience considered.
Experience working with cattle and/or feedlot experience.
Experience operating farm and feeding equipment.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
Associates degree in agriculture or related field.

$18.00/hr minimum
