Entry-Level Collections Agent (Full-Time) Location:

Dallas, TX

Position Overview We are looking for an entry‑level Collections Agent to work in our Dallas office. As a recovery professional you will complete our two‑week paid training program and then work to resolve open accounts with customers using negotiation methodologies and ethical recovery strategies. This role requires a persuasive personality, customer‑service focus, and a strong work ethic. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Position Responsibilities

Utilize various contact technologies and recovery strategies to locate the correct parties.

Understand each customer’s situation and identify the best payment plan options.

Negotiate payment terms with empathy, tact, and professionalism.

Make outbound and receive inbound calls, following all required scripts, policies, and procedures.

Respond effectively to common challenges during collection calls and discuss means of resolving open accounts.

Meet monthly goals and perform other assigned duties.

Attend meetings and training sessions and review all new material to stay up‑to‑date on changes to program knowledge, systems, and processes.

Adhere to all attendance and work schedule requirements.

Candidate Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.

The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words a minute).

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Basic understanding of the Windows operating system.

Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues.

An aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, and negotiation.

Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious).

Ability to multi‑task, stay focused and self‑manage.

Strong team orientation and customer focus.

The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with your team and customers.

Conditions of Employment

Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based.

Will be required to submit up to a Level II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint. Job offers are contingent on background/security investigation results.

Physical Requirements The position requires operation of computer equipment and a telephone headset, with frequent sit/stand periods. You may occasionally need to move about the office, reach in any direction, and lift or move objects up to 40 pounds.
