We are seeking a detail-oriented Patent Paralegal to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have experience with preparation and prosecution of patent applications, be comfortable managing deadlines, proficiently manage all aspects of docketing (Anaqua experience is a bonus), and ensure compliance with patent laws, regulations, and client-specific procedures. This is role is a part-time contract position to begin, with the potential of expanding to a full-time position.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, filing, and prosecuting of patent applications
Proofread and file office action responses and other related USPTO filings
Prepare and file PCT patent applications
Coordinate with foreign counsel regarding filing and prosecuting global applications
Maintain docketing records and track deadlines
Prepare, file, and manage recording of inventor formality documents
Collaborate both internally and externally to gather required documentation
Various other duties as assigned
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Patent Paralegal, including managing US and foreign patent prosecution
Exceptional attention to detail with a zero-tolerance approach to errors in documentation or deadlines
Clear understanding of USPTO filing procedures via EFS-Web/Patent Center
Proficiency with IP docketing software (Anaqua is a bonus) and MS Office Suite
