Nestlé Purina's Flagstaff, AZ distribution facility is located at 7,000 feet among the San Francisco Peaks. With a safety‑first culture, the team manufactures 280,000 tons of dry pet food annually, including Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan® brands. The facility is committed to environmental stewardship through water conservation, renewable electricity, and zero‑waste disposal.
Position Summary As a Forklift Operator, you will perform a variety of warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, case picking, staging finished product, and maintaining a safe and organized storage environment. Your responsibilities will cover stacking unit loads, operating computer‑based warehouse transactions, troubleshooting load integrity, and executing replenishment and case pick operations in line with customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Stack unit loads by UPC throughout the warehouse.
Operate and maintain all computer‑based warehouse transactions.
Troubleshoot load integrity and handling issues; repair damaged unit loads and follow the warehouse sanitation policy.
Load or unload trailers and railcars while considering weight, size, UPC, location, and trailer type.
Replenish storage locations with unit loads from floor storage and plan case pick to optimize product location, weight, and quantity.
Case pick product according to customer specifications, layering guidelines, product location, and quantity.
Hand‑wrap, label, and pre‑stage orders.
Operate warehouse sweeper and scrubber.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
MUST BE OPEN TO ALL SHIFTS. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 6 months experience operating a forklift or heavy machinery in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, military, or related environment.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $28.01. Final compensation may vary based on factors including knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
