Summary:

The Spa Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operation of the spa’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including pools, jacuzzies, gym equipment, showers, and HVAC. This role ensures that all equipment and facilities remain safe, clean, and in excellent working condition for our guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor, maintain, and repair spa facilities including pool systems, jacuzzies, sauna/steam rooms, showers, and gym equipment.

Oversee pool water treatment, chemical balance, and filtration systems in compliance with health and safety standards.

Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of all equipment and mechanical systems.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.

Collaborate with housekeeping and spa teams to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests.

Maintain detailed maintenance logs and safety compliance records.

Support capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades as needed.

Ensure that the physical condition of the property is maintained according to company operating and safety standards.

Organize and prioritize service requests and general maintenance tasks.

Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies and inform supervisor of shortages.

Perform pool maintenance duties, including testing water quality, treating water to maintain proper chemical balance, cleaning, and maintaining equipment. May be required to obtain CPO certification.

Adhere to the company's safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Participate in company training classes, as required.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED. Previous experience as a maintenance technician or facilities specialist in hospitality, spa, or fitness environments preferred.

Other Qualifications:

Knowledge of pool and jacuzzi systems, pumps, boilers, and water treatment.

Strong electrical, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Certification in pool operations (CPO) is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or evenings as needed.

Strong customer service orientation.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as directed.

Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher and in all inclement weather conditions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

40‑hour work week. Regular traversal on uneven terrain, handling and manipulating objects, standing, crouching, and operating equipment. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 lbs. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, wet conditions, extreme heat and cold, and high, precarious places.
