Position Summary Greendale is one of Catalent’s gummy technology development and manufacturing facilities in North America. The site manufactures organic and vegan-based nutraceuticals via confection to enhance wellness for all consumers. You will efficiently run and coordinate the daily operation of the Mogul machine according to the production schedule, performing minor troubleshooting and resource allocation for assembly and operations. You will communicate problems with the Production Supervisor, Production Worker Lead/Foreperson and/or mechanic on duty, maintaining maximum production and uniformity of product.

Responsibilities

Assist in mogul set up, including proper mold board, nozzle plate, piston bar and other required set up activities as specified in the Mogul manual.

Monitor and maintain uniformity of the product being deposited into starch trays.

Ensure against starch buildup on mold board.

Visually inspect the mold board impression for good appearance.

Ensure continuous proper board weight for each candy production run; document board weight confirmation.

Respond quickly to minor malfunctions that occur with the Mogul and notify the Mechanic on duty of any problems.

Respond to minor breakdowns and jams of equipment as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

1+ year(s) of batching or other manufacturing experience highly preferred.

Experience with Six Sigma, 5S, LEAN manufacturing, GMP/GDP preferred.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively to other employees.

Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 1000 pounds.

Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.

Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
