Description Essential Job Functions:
Reads production schedule to determine what daily materials are needed. Research location and production status on jobs not in the production area. Communicates with appropriate people and revises daily plans as needed.
Picks product, tools, or other materials from storage racks in production departments. Moves materials to staging area in the department in boxes, tubs, skids or basket. Maintains staging area for easy retrieval with pallet jack. Moves outbound materials to next area.
Makes necessary location transactions in system or uses hand scanner to move materials and record locations.
Works from verbal requests due to changes in schedules. Maintains good working relations with Group Leaders and set-up personnel in each area. Retrieves items for departments based on needs.
Job Requirements
Must be able to communicate in professional manner with all employees.
Must have 2-3 yrs experience in a shipping or packaging role with exposure to material handling using pallet jack, sit-down forklift, and Raymond stand-up lifts. May operate Raymond swing reach after training as well.
Experience using Microsoft Office for email, word processing and spreadsheets.
Must have a good attendance record.
