Overview of the Position This position is located in Pevely, MO servicing Pevely Pointe Apartments.
The maintenance technician is vital to the smooth operation of each property. They are responsible for things like the completion of daily maintenance requests, the general upkeep of the grounds, and the completion of make-ready apartments.

Pay: $18-20/hr DOE + monthly phone allowance + competitive benefit package, including a 401(k) match of up to 5% after 6 months of employment and a weekly on-call maintenance incentive
Responsibilities of the Position Service Requests
Maintenance technicians are responsible for ensuring that all maintenance service requests ('work orders') are processed in a timely and orderly manner.
A review of outstanding service requests should be completed daily to ensure that residents are being served well.
Maintenance technicians will distribute materials, supplies and equipment to work areas and will be accountable for said supplies.
The maintenance technician will keep the Property Manager informed of the status of ongoing work in buildings.
Housekeeping and Grounds
Maintenance technicians keep tabs on the cleanliness of the property, including picking up grounds, maintaining dumpster areas, and monitoring apartment breezeway/stairwell cleanliness.
Maintenance technicians are responsible for removing ice and snow from parking areas and walkways in advance of contracted snow removal crews.
Make Ready Apartments
Vacant units should be made ready in a timely manner so they can be toured and re-rented quickly.
As much in-house maintenance work should be completed as possible to avoid the use of outside contractors.
Other Tasks As Assigned
We love team players! If something specific is requested by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, please prioritize it accordingly.
Position Requirements Skill Requirements
Ability to operate general cleaning equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner, carpet scrubber, industrial-size mop and bucket).
Reading/comprehension and basic math skills.
Ability to work independent of direct supervision.
Ability to prioritize and organize work tasks and to establish and meet deadlines.
Considerable knowledge of building construction and maintenance.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with empathy to persons of all ethnic and economic backgrounds.
Ability to maintain information in a confidential manner.
Working knowledge of trades, such as plumbing, electricity, and carpentry, are appreciated but not required.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Work experience in the maintenance field is preferred but not required.
Certification in related maintenance fields (plumbing, electrical, refrigeration) is desirable (or should be pursued during tenure of employment).
Possession of a valid driver’s license is essential; employee must be insurable with company vehicle insurance and must be bondable.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Handling of equipment and materials that weigh up to 100 pounds.
Moving and arranging furniture.
Bending, kneeling, stretching, walking, standing up to 8 hours daily.
Pushing or pulling equipment in a stooped over position such as a vacuum or mop.
Crawling or laying to work in small, cramped areas.
Working outside in the elements daily.
