Poly Line Operator Title: Poly Line Operator

Reports To: Poly Line Supervisor

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm (OT may be required during peak season)

The Polyline Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the polyline equipment used to produce and shape cushion inserts. This role involves setting up the machine, monitoring the production process, and ensuring that the products meet quality standards. The Polyline Operator plays a key role in maintaining the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process. This is a physically demanding job that requires moving carts filled with poly around the manufacturing floor, loading and unloading poly on the production floor. The role involves a significant amount of walking, standing, bending, and stooping over several hours.

Primary Responsibilities

Operate polyline equipment to produce cushion inserts according to production specifications.

Set up the polyline machine for each production run, including loading materials, and perform test runs to ensure proper operation.

Monitor the production process to ensure that products meet quality standards. Inspect products for consistency, size, and shape.

Load raw materials into the machine and ensure a continuous supply throughout the production process. Monitor material levels and notify the supervisor of any shortages.

Transfer poly onto carts and deliver to the production floor.

Identify and help resolve any issues that arise during the production process, such as machine malfunctions or material jams.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating and maintaining the polyline equipment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards to the supervisor.

Other duties as requested, including general housekeeping of plant/warehouse.

Required Skills

Strong attention to detail to ensure that products meet quality standards and to identify any issues during the production process.

Ability to count, measure, and verify product quantities.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.

Good organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently and maintain an orderly workspace.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, stand and walk for at least 3 hours at a stretch, over an 8 or 10-hour shift, with 15-minute breaks.

Must be able to move carts filled with poly around the manufacturing floor and load/unload poly on the production floor.
