Location: US - Wisconsin - Madison
Description Responsible for handling and processing shipments, receiving, work orders, pick slips, transporting inventory, Kanban replenishment, and maintaining accurate inventory locations and counts throughout the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Fueling Systems Quality System.
Follow detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures.
Report problems with safety, quality, process, equipment, and materials to Warehouse Supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Operate a powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload and load trucks.
Pull and stage orders for shipment or production use.
Fill and transact work orders, purchase orders, or sales orders.
Perform cycle counts.
Perform quality checks on stock items to report defects or damage.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Skills and Knowledge
Read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Utilize common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Provide accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others in a team.
Demonstrate flexibility in a work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
Complete some moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
6 months or more experience working in shipping or receiving (preferred).
Computer Skills
Basic: Barcode scanner.
Certificates and Licenses
Forklift Certification (preferred).
Physical Activities
Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.
Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs; sit; bend or twist; stoop or crouch; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension; activate foot control.
Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs; stand; walk; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; use upper extremities.
Vision: peripheral viewing; hearing: perceive spoken voice and warning signals up to 70 dB.
Work Environment
Position is in a manufacturing environment with harmful conditions.
Moderate noise level.
Frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, moving mechanical hazards; infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions.
Shift work up to 10 hours per day; overtime may be required.
Respirator fit testing and equipment provided upon request.
