As a Maintenance Director in a skilled nursing facility, you will need to ensure all systems are working properly in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will need a strong basis of mechanical troubleshooting, plumbing, HVAC, and fire and safety procedures. Long‑term care experience is a plus.
TECHNICAL
Ensures a safe, comfortable, sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with Federal, State, and Corporate requirements.
Performs preventative maintenance procedures.
Requires full range of body motion.
ADMINISTRATIVE
Maintains equipment necessary to meet Center needs.
Understands department budget.
Maintains written records and documents of services performed according to Federal, State, and Corporate requirements.
May train personnel to meet Center needs.
Participates in assigned meetings and in‑services.
Qualifications
One year experience in a long‑term care center preferred.
Ability to read and write English for business necessity.
Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
One year experience in basic trades preferred.
Working knowledge of plant support systems (cooling/heating, emergency systems) preferred.
CONSUMER SERVICE
Presents a professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech.
Adheres to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
