Sanitation/Flour Processing Backup (FA-1 Helper)– Kansas City, MO As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for sanitation, assisting the performing safety checks, completing MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) tasks, bin measurements, cleaning proper use and storage of tools. Assisting with system start-up/shut down and magnet checks, and other duties in the FA1 area. This position requires a blend of operational skills, safety awareness, sanitation practices, and the ability to learn and cover the FA-1 Operator role.

Shift hours:

8-hour shifts

1st shift: 6

am to 2 pm

Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays

Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Pay:

$23.90 per hour

Shift differential

Additional $.55 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift and 3rd shift

About our Location: The Kansas City plant provides job growth opportunities in most departments and promotes positive relationships throughout the facility, fostering a collaborative work environment and it has an employee club within the premises. The plant organizes holiday dinners for Christmas and Thanksgiving, where hams and turkeys are distributed to employees. Training and Coverage:

The successful bidder must train and become proficient in the FA1 Operator position to cover for absences (DAT, call-offs, etc.)

System Knowledge:

Must learn and understand the Wondra and Self-Rising processing systems, including equipment operation, start-up/shut-down procedures, and troubleshooting

Safety:

Knowledge of safety protocols, lockout procedures, alarm systems, and emergency stops is essential

Operations:

Operating Wondra and Self-Rising systems, including equipment adjustments and monitoring

Ingredient weighing and documentation (MQIS)

Quality checks and sampling

Flour transfers in the 800 bin system

Sanitation:

Performing blow-downs, completing MSS items, and maintaining cleanliness

Maintenance:

Completing minor repairs and generating work orders for larger issues

What you have to offer:

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED

Minimum 3 years of related industry experience

Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

Ability to work independently and as a team with flexibility to quickly shift work priorities

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces

Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms

Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required

Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment

Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions

Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery

Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
