Assistant Golf Professional

Position Summary The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the golf operations team, assisting the 1st Assistant Golf Professional and/or Head Golf Professional in managing all golf and golf-related activities at the facility.
General Description of Duties and Responsibilities Our Golf Professionals pride themselves on maintaining high levels of visibility and engagement with members and guests.
Inside Staff Duties
Perform clerk/cashier duties.
Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
Provide customer service to arriving guests to expedite check‑in.
Arrange and display golf shop inventory as directed.
Collect green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and process in the POS system as trained.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe workplace.
Assist in reconciliation of accounts receivable charges to daily register at closing.
Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
Assist with set‑up of equipment and golf carts.
Assist with set‑up of golf tournaments in Golf Genius.
Perform related duties as assigned by the Head Professional.
Outside Staff Duties
Perform starter/ranger duties.
Welcome and greet guests and players in a friendly manner.
Explain rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed.
Assist with set‑up and organization of golf carts and equipment for tee times and outings.
Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play to prevent delays.
Answer all questions in a friendly manner; keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary.
Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
Perform related duties as assigned by the Head Professional.
Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Coachable with basic computer skills.
Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Knowledge of the game of golf.
Active PGA Associate or Class A Professional.

Compensation
$45,000–$50,000 base salary.
$10,000+ from teachings & coaching.
