Travel Program/Policy Consultant
Location: Arlington, VA
Position Description Support Travel Program operations for the United States Marshal Service (USMS) Travel System, ensuring compliance with Federal Travel Regulations, DOJ policies, and internal controls. Assist with configuration management, interface tasks, change requests, and audit support.
Responsibilities
Configure and maintain travel account profiles to meet financial controls and comply with the Federal Travel Regulation.
Monitor routing and approval pools/templates.
Create and deliver training documents and sessions for USMS and the Travel Program lead.
Plan and oversee regression testing for new Travel Program releases.
Communicate system functionality and policy updates to affected users.
Oversee E2‑related tasks, including configuration updates and documentation management.
Manage updates and enhancements to desk reference guides (DRGs).
Respond to audit requests and related inquiries from senior USMS officials.
Monitor document submissions for policy violations.
Run compliance reports for USMS and DOJ travel policy.
Design external E2 reports in collaboration with the external report development team.
Provide support to agents on E2 and travel‑related issues.
Develop SOPs to reduce errors and maintain maximum functionality of the E2 system and UFMS interface.
Qualifications
Experience with the Federal Travel Regulation.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 3 years of related experience.
U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance.
Desired: Experience working in Concur Solutions.
Compensation Estimated salary range:
$62,900.00 – $153,300.00
