This position provides a full array of administrative and legal support to Unit attorneys and paralegals by creating and producing correspondence, pleadings, and reports through the use of a computerized word processing system, proofreading documents, assisting with hearing preparation and court filings, document management, and archiving of legal cases. This position maintains case status reports; creates, maintains and closes files; enters case information in Prolaw; ensures that urgent matters are promptly referred to the appropriate attorney or legal assistant; electronically files with the court upon request; makes minimal travel arrangements (car reservations). This recruitment may be used to fill more than one Administrative Assistant II position in the Revenue & Regulatory Law section. What we are looking for
Residency Requirement: This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application. Class Code: G3A3XX Minimum Qualifications: Please document all relevant experience in detail on your application. Experience will not be inferred or assumed. Any part-time experience listed will be prorated. Experience Only: Two (2) years of general clerical/office support experience as the primary function of the job. OR Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in general clerical/office support as the primary function of the job equal to two (2) years. If qualifying under substitution, you will be required to provide transcripts at the time of application. Foreign degrees require a translation/evaluation from an accredited institution to be credited. Preferred Qualifications: High technical aptitude; experience with technology and various systems; experience organizing documents and electronic file systems; experience in a similar role for the State of Colorado; experience in a hybrid environment; strong critical thinking; ability to manage multiple priorities; experience processing electronic documents; excellent customer service; strong communication and organizational skills; experience handling confidential information; familiarity with MS Office applications. Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment. Applicant must pass a Colorado state income tax check and have no back taxes for the past three tax years. The Department participates in E-Verify and will provide Form I-9 information to confirm work authorization. The Revenue & Regulatory Law section offers flexible work arrangements; this position is expected to work in-office 3 days a week, with potential changes based on business needs. Appeal Rights
