Overview
Join the Office of the Attorney General – Workers' Compensation Unit. Administrative Assistant II supports attorneys and paralegals in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities
Assist attorneys and paralegals with creating, proofreading, and formatting correspondence, documents, and reports. Act as liaison for legal services requests from clients and court personnel by telephone and written communication. Serve as gatekeeper for the flow of written, electronic, and telephonic communications, ensuring emergency matters are promptly referred to the appropriate attorney and paralegals. Process, distribute, and maintain electronic case files, prepare case folders, update indices, organize files. Archive and close cases using office and section policies and procedures. Coordinate resolution of computer and technology problems. Transmit documents and copies to the appropriate recipients. File documents in court. Provide backup for other support staff work in the Section when needed. Minimum Qualifications
Two years of general clerical, administrative, or office support experience, supporting multiple staff simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications
General clerical experience in a law office or legal setting, including assembling documents and exhibits for pleadings/court filings. Experience organizing documents and electronic file systems. Experience working with medical files or records. Experience processing electronic documents. Strong customer service focus. Strong communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Conditions of Employment
