Store Manager in Training – CVS Health
Start your path to becoming a CVS Store Manager through our 16‑week SMIT program that blends virtual training with hands‑on store coaching.
About the Program The SMIT program is designed to prepare leaders for a Store Manager role. You will work with a District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach to build the skills needed for store leadership.
Skills Needed
Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead the team.
Customer care orientation and ability to provide high levels of service.
Proficiency in executing merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
Knowledge of inventory and asset management to maintain profitability.
Responsibilities
Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion.
Support the store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of “helping people on their path to better health.”
Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market you work in.
Qualifications
Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.
Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores located within the designated market.
Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor preferred.
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$18.50 – $28.67 per hour (based on experience, education, geography and other factors).
Weekly Hours:
45 hours
