Regularly inspect and evaluate electrical and electronic equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; identify defects, hazards, or needed repairs in compliance with codes Diagnose common electrical system failures and provide immediate and long-term corrective actions Perform conduit/wire installations, maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance to a wide variety of electrical systems in accordance with regulatory codes Clean and lubricate equipment, and maintain records on equipment status Disassemble, repair and replace defective electrical components using hand tools, test equipment, and service manuals Test installations to verify circuit continuity and component safety using appropriate test devices Study blueprints and schematics to determine methods, materials, and equipment; plan layouts for installing wiring, fixtures, and equipment Determine materials needed for common repair work, prepare requisitions, and monitor inventory Coordinate work with co-workers and other departments; may assist in training lower-level Electricians Maintain records of work completed and parts used Perform duties safely in compliance with manufacturer specifications, company policies, regulations, and industry standards Obtain proper permits as required by law for electrical work on construction or remodeling projects Note:
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time. Educational and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old Four (4) years of journey-level electrical experience; OR completion of a four-year technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance plus two (2) years electrical experience; OR an equivalent combination of experience and/or education Proficient knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to electrical trade Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance for company use Must pass post-employment offer drug test and background check including motor vehicle report Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to project Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring Self-motivated and disciplined; able to communicate professionally with operating teams Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment regarding privileged information Willingness to constantly improve and to support a team environment Able to adapt to changes easily and work independently with limited supervision Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to analyze and retain information; strong problem-solving abilities Lead with Love principles: patient, kind, trustworthy, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated Effective customer-facing communication; friendly impressions with guests, vendors, and employees Manual dexterity and good personal hygiene Ability to work in varied conditions, including outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and during overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays Proficiency with hand and power tools and equipment; ability to use safety equipment as required Physical and Cognitive Requirements
Lifting and Carrying:
Up to 50 lbs occasionally to frequently with proper lifting guidelines Mobility:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travel across property for extended periods; uneven terrain may be encountered Repetitive Movements:
Repetitive hand/arm movements as part of job duties Environmental Conditions:
Able to work in varying weather, indoors and outdoors Cognitive and Sensory Requirements:
