Position Summary Responsible for supervising the activities of the sales staff assigned to their district. Participates in the establishment of the region’s sales plan and is accountable for the sales, profitability, and accounts receivable performance of their district. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities
Supervises associates (staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution). Develops and conducts monthly sales meetings to educate staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.
Attains targeted sales as determined by business goals. Operates department and assigned personnel within budgetary guidelines.
Demonstrates awareness of customer needs, establishes policies and practices to meet those needs, and develops interpersonal relationships that encourage openness, candor, and trust internally and externally. Provides informative and professional assistance when working with the public, customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Participates in industry organization meetings, develops and presents major account presentations, formulates and analyzes competition information, and attends industry shows and events.
Interacts with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely, and quality manner; ensures questions are answered accurately and promptly. Manages customer complaints, issues, and emergencies.
Establishes and monitors major account prospect lists and processes customer rebates and incentives.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
4–6 years of foodservice sales and team lead or supervisory experience.
Valid driver’s license.
