Job Description We deliver the goods: This position focuses on supporting America’s food distribution system through district sales leadership, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and strong customer relationships.
Position Summary Responsible for supervising the activities of the sales staff assigned to their district. Participates in the establishment of the region’s sales plan and accountable for the sales and profitability and accounts receivable performance of their district. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities
Supervises associates: staffing, training, coaching, performance management, problem resolution. Develops and conducts monthly sales meetings.
Attains targeted sales as determined by business goals. Operates within budgetary guidelines.
Demonstrates awareness of customer needs and establishes policies and practices to effectively meet those needs. Builds trust and professionalism with public, customers, vendors, coworkers.
Participates in industry organization monthly meetings, presents major account presentations, formulates and analyzes competition information, attends industry shows and events.
Interacts with customers and vendors, ensuring questions answered accurately and timely, manages complaints, issues, emergencies.
Establishes and monitors major account prospect lists, processes customer rebates and incentives.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
4-6 years foodservice sales and team lead or supervisory experience.
Valid driver’s license.
