Salary: $5,035.99 – $6,779.25 per month

Responsibilities
Conduct on‑site inspections and investigations of Texas long‑term‑care facilities (licensed‑only nursing homes, assisted living, day activities, health services sites, etc.).
Investigate complaints related to abuse, neglect, or exploitation and perform incident examinations.
Prepare detailed reports detailing deficiencies, recommended remedies, and narratives supporting regulatory findings.
Assist facilities in developing and executing corrective action plans; conduct follow‑up inspections.
Participate in annual comprehensive surveys and quality‑assurance reviews of documents prepared by other inspectors.
Occasionally testify at hearings or in court proceedings regarding findings.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license.
Four‑year degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
Experience in investigations related to quality outcomes (preferred).
Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred).
Knowledge of program regulations, procedures, and survey techniques.
Proficiency with personal computers, writing reports, and using software.
Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work compressed workweek (10‑hour days) and flexible hours; travel up to 80% including overnight and weekend.
Requirements • Background checks: fingerprint criminal background check and I‑9 documentation; E‑Verify required. • All applicants must bring I‑9 documentation on the first day. • Additional licensing and Employee Misconduct Registry checks for those with prior nursing‑facility administration or assistance credentials.
