Forklift Operator PT
R+L Carriers has an immediate need for Part-time Forklift Operator at our Danville, IL service center. As a Forklift Operator you will be tasked with moving all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long. You will be operating a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.
Compensation:
$23.29 per hour
Schedule:
Part-time, Monday - Friday, 5:00 pm – 10:30 pm
PTO:
Available after first 90 calendar days of employment
Responsibilities Operate a forklift to move and position freight in and out of inbound and outbound trailers as directed, ensuring safe handling and compliance with all safety regulations.
Qualifications
Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty
Ability to read manifests
Ability to read and interact with a computer display
Forklift experience
Dependability and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
Previous forklift experience in a fast‑paced environment
Experience with LTL freight
