Job Title: Machinist
You will be responsible for machining parts for equipment used in the mining industry. This role requires the ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings to manufacture parts to precise specifications.
Responsibilities
Set up and edit CNC machine programs, milling machines, and lathes utilizing proper equipment to ensure machines are set up correctly for operations.
Perform daily maintenance of CNC and manual machinery.
Read, interpret, and follow standard operation procedures to ensure a consistent approach to manufacturing.
Hold prescribed tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Understand and utilize programming software for applicable CNC machines.
Essential Skills
Two years of experience in a machining role within a production environment.
Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
Demonstrated experience in the setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines, mills, and lathes.
Ability to read and understand blueprints to build products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Master Cam is preferred.
Prior experience rigging and positioning heavy equipment using jib hoists or overhead cranes.
Ability to select and grind specialty tools for required tasks.
Full knowledge of the working properties of different metals and alloys, and the proper cutting feeds and speeds for each with various cutting tools.

Work Environment Work in a nostalgic environment with older equipment, which can be dirty at times. The position is on the first shift, running from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr.
