Base Pay Range $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr

What You Would Be Doing

Use operational understanding of HVAC/R systems to work on split systems, DX systems, glycol, controls, etc.

Apply thorough overall knowledge of thermal dynamics and heat transfer in commercial buildings.

Perform standard preventive maintenance duties on all Liebert/Vertiv equipment efficiently and without requiring supervision.

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, change out compressors, failed parts, etc. on all A/C equipment and direct HVAC technicians.

Proficiently solder, braze refrigerant lines, water lines, etc.

Communicate daily with dispatcher, reporting job‑by‑job information about equipment ID, estimated time to complete, labor hours and parts used.

Read and interpret schematics and control circuits.

Report to Senior Technical Advisor on startup and commissioning projects.

Manage larger startup and commissioning projects on Liebert/Vertiv equipment, answering contractors’ technical questions.

Interface with the customer on a professional basis, presenting Liebert/Vertiv and DVL in a positive light.

May direct a team of installing contractors.

Assist in training of thermal technicians and assistant technicians.

Properly handle refrigerant, reclaimer, vacuum pump and other essential tools.

Work in a safe manner, following industry standard safety practices, including SDS, tool safety, equipment safety and ladder safety guidelines.

Properly operate and maintain company vehicle, laptop and iPhone.

Satisfactorily complete Liebert/Vertiv training classes as required.

Minimum Requirements To Apply

HVAC Certificate from a college or trade school.

Universal EPA Certification.

Over five years full‑time commercial/industrial HVAC/R experience; experience with Liebert iCom is a plus.

Experience handling refrigerant and performing all necessary repairs.

Experience troubleshooting both simple and complex electrical and refrigeration systems.

Safety training required, OSHA 10 preferred.

Valid driver’s license to drive to customer sites.

Availability to perform frequent scheduled on‑call and overtime duties in the surrounding area.

Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
