Windows Technician
Primary Location:

Education and Experience
2‑year degree in a relevant field and/or professional experience
4‑6+ years of basic knowledge of desktop hardware and the ability to install or replace hard drives, additional PCI cards, power supply units, RAM, and/or optical drives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Solid understanding of installing or upgrading Windows OS (7,10,11) and configuring necessary drivers
Knowledgeable with Active Directory
Familiar with basic server maintenance and network concepts
Familiar with antivirus tools and malware/spyware scanners and removal tools
Can work with others to provide support in a timely and friendly manner
Strong multitasking skills
Can work autonomously or as a member of a team
A+ certification preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Must pass a background check
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (spreadsheets, Outlook calendars, PowerPoint, etc.)
Job Responsibilities
Respond to new IT support requests, prioritize, and document issues and resolutions
Respond to tickets and provide detailed responses in the ticketing system
Perform hardware and desktop repairs (Dell shop), peripheral replacements and basic software configuration such as OS installations and driver configurations
Configure and install email clients, MS Office, and other software applications
Maintain OS patch levels and anti‑virus updates
Must pass a drug test
Ability to lift and transfer parcels of 50 pounds
Dell certification is a plus
WSUS experience a plus
Installation and configuration of printers
Troubleshoot end‑user problems with various desktop/laptop issues
Remove threats (virus, malware, etc.)
Track assets and document software purchases
