A

Sprinkler Service Technician

is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic sprinkler systems, including working with pipes, fittings, valves and other components to ensure proper installation and operation. Responsibilities

Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout and installation of sprinkler systems Measuring and cutting pipes to required lengths and installing them using fittings and connectors Installing valves, alarms, and other components of the sprinkler system Testing the system for leaks and ensuring proper function Performing routine maintenance and replacing worn or damaged components as needed Troubleshooting and repairing sprinkler systems and identifying solutions to complex problems Communicating with customers and stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes and industry best practices Maintaining accurate records of work, including labor and materials, and preparing reports as needed Maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety protocols Minimum Requirements

Experience in the installation and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics; knowledge of piping, fittings, and connectors used in sprinkler installations Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong safety focus and attention to detail Valid driver’s license; physical ability to perform duties, including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights Completion of an apprenticeship program in sprinkler fitting or a related field may be required Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs Capability to work in challenging positions (climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings) Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications Ability to work flexible hours Benefits
