Construction Maintenance Repairer
Location: North Fort Myers, FL
Work Hours: M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm

Position Summary This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and repairs of all facilities/equipment and the daily operation of all mechanical systems, renovations of existing facilities, and/or new construction. Required to be on standby, as scheduled, to work irregular and overtime hours, and respond to callouts when needed.
Position Responsibilities
Perform all types of commercial/general building maintenance repairs, new construction duties/tasks to include but not limited to rough/finish plumbing, rough/finish carpentry, and rough/finish electrical, welding.
Proper and safe operation of company vehicles, equipment, and power tools to maintain facilities.
Work in emergency storm situations (i.e., hurricanes) and work long hours (>12 hours per day) for many continuous days/weeks as needed.
Respond when called to assist and/or contain oil or fuel spill clean ups.
Responsible for the performance of assigned work in accordance with LCEC safety standards and practices.
Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
Experience
2 Years' experience in all phases of building construction, commercial/general maintenance, and mechanical systems, developing material lists, and reading and following blueprints.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrable skill in oral and written communications. (Required)
Basic computer skills, including ability to navigate within Windows environment to create, open and close files or applications using a mouse and use email. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
Possess and maintain a valid CDL Class B driver's license or obtain within 90 days. (Required)
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Certification; EPA 608 universal certification within 90 Days (Required)

Employees may be required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our LCEC members. Employees are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's guidelines and procedures.
