This position is located in Georgia and will oversee Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee
CYS Regular and FLEX employees (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child : 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child : 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses
Location incentives
will be authorized in the amount of $10,000. Duties
Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of staff and the safety and well being of children and youth in accordance with DoD, Army and local policies and standards. Recruits and hires qualified personnel utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions. Supervises program administrators and/or directors/managers; CYS Specialists, CYS Trainers and other staff assigned directly to CYS. Coordinates management of funds and resources to include developing the annual budget for the installation CYS program that includes submission and prioritization of all program component requirements. Establishes and maintains an active program of parental involvement, providing parent education opportunities and encouraging parent observation and participation. Serves as Subject Matter Expert on installation child and youth services issues. Prepares reports, surveys, and briefings for command and installation on matters pertaining to CYS. Supports all EEO and AA objectives. Requirements
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. The Crime Control Act must be successfully completed and maintained. Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy to include annual influenza vaccinations. Satisfactory completion of training requirements. Travel to on and off post locations required. Job requires working both in and out of doors.
