Our client is an innovative insurance distribution platform focused on supporting independent agents and agencies in the health and life insurance space. They provide access to a broad portfolio of ACA, Medicare, life, and supplemental insurance products through a modern tech platform, personalized support, and business growth solutions.

Position Overview

As a Business Development Representative for the West Texas and New Mexico territory, you will play a pivotal role in driving regional growth by recruiting and onboarding independent insurance agencies and top producers. You’ll be the face of the company across the region—building meaningful relationships with agency owners and demonstrating the value of the platform’s offerings, tools, and support to help partners scale their production.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a structured business development strategy to recruit agencies and top health/life insurance producers.

Travel frequently across the territory (up to 75%) to meet with agency owners and producers, foster trust, and close new partnerships.

Clearly communicate the value proposition including compensation programs, lead generation resources, marketing tools, and onboarding support.

Facilitate smooth onboarding, ensuring partners are equipped with the knowledge and tools to succeed from day one.

Stay informed on industry trends and competitive activity to refine regional strategy and respond to market needs.

Collaborate closely with internal teams (agent support, marketing, training, compliance) to ensure partner success and regulatory adherence.

Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual recruitment and production goals.

Qualifications

Proven experience in business development, territory sales, or account management; experience in health or life insurance is highly preferred.

Existing network of health/life insurance producers or agency relationships in West Texas or New Mexico is a strong advantage.

Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Willing and able to travel extensively (up to 75%) throughout the assigned territory.

Strong interpersonal skills, persuasive communication style, and confidence in presenting to agency leadership.

Attentive listener who can identify partner needs and offer tailored solutions.

Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working with.

Familiarity with ACA and life/health insurance products is a plus.

Base Salary: $75,000 – $110,000 per year (commensurate with experience).

On-Target Earnings (OTE): Approximately $200,000+ (base + bonus/commission).

Performance-based incentives with no cap on earnings.

Full reimbursement of travel expenses.
